Before discovering WIRED, many of our clients would hire certified electricians to install the preliminary low voltage wiring for sound systems, phones, computers, etc. The issue is that you don’t actually have to have electrician certifications to install these types of wires. As a result we often approach projects with a two part install which we call our “rough install” and our “final install.” During the rough install, we come in after the main walls have been constructed and install our wiring for IT and phone equipment based on where they will reside after opening. During the final install, we come in during the ‘finishing touches’ stage to install all the phones, cameras, computers, TVs, etc, sync everything together, and work out any minor kinks.

More Specialized

Another issue we often see when one of our clients hire a certified electrician to install the low voltage wiring is they aren’t as specialized in this arena. While they definitely can complete this type of job, they mainly work with high voltage wirings on a day to day basis.
