Why it’s important to ask: The big thing is to scope out the IT consultant’s cybersecurity philosophy to see what precautions they will take to protect customer and employee data. You can get a sense of their preferred software and different safeguarding methods, like installing two WiFi networks, for the best defense against attacks. Do they just install the software or are they avidly monitoring it?
Why it’s important to ask: Will you have to pause your workday when an obstacle arises to speak to a vendor or will your IT firm step-in on your behalf to have conversations about anything technology related?
